Cobra
Ford has produced many Cobras over the years, starting with the original AC Ace based 289 Cobra of 1962, to the 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra. Ford also used the name for a line of engines, including the 428 Cobra Jet (rated at 335 horsepower), the 429 Super Cobra Jet (rated at 375 hp), and the 351 Cobra Jet (rated at 280 hp). But the most famous Cobras remain the original 289 Cobra and the later 427 Cobra whose ultimate incarnation, the legendary 427 SC version, had performance stats that would not be surpassed for thirty years.
