Dodge Coronet Picture Gallery
The Dodge Coronet was introduced in 1949, but it was the mid-sixties mid-sized model that was the start of its muscle car heritage. The famous 426 Hemi (underrated at 425 horsepower) was available from 1965 on, and the 440 six-pack (rated at 390 hp) debuted in 1969. The R/T (Road/Track) performance package was also available, as well as the 426-S model which included the Hemi engine. The Coronet was redesigned in 1968 and again in 1971. The Coronet came in four-door, two-door, and convertible versions. The Super Bee was an option package based on the Coronet platform from 1968 to 1970.
